Welcome to my website

Hi this is me, Sue of Squiggly Sue Designs.  I work from my 'shedquarters' at the bottom of my garden in Derbyshire accompanied by my trusty companion, Pippin the Pup.  There are often many cups of tea and sometimes chocolate and cake (lots of cake)!

I love to paint the beautiful countryside of Derbyshire and the Peak District where I live. I am particularly drawn to trees and foliage in my work. Most of my paintings are very colourful and a little bit quirky.

I sell original paintings, limited edition prints (both framed and unframed) and also many of my original designs are now available as homeware, greetings cards and gifts over in my online shop

If you want to discuss a custom order please get in touch via the contact form or email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

I also sell at local art and artisan events - have a look at the events page to see where I am next.

Exhibition 'Reflections'

I am very excited to have been invited to  take part in an exhibition called "Reflections" which is taking place in Ferrers Gallery within the Ferrers Centre for Arts & Crafts next to Staunton Harold.

Ferrers hold 4 to 6 exhibition on the gallery's upper mezzanine floor every year where they can rotate the range they offer and provide opportunities to local and regional artists.  For this first exhibition, Reflections, you can step into the luminous world where light dances with mirrors.  The feature wall Artist will be Ruby Beau whose work is beautiful.

I have felt quite challenged to produce 6 pieces of artwork for this exhibition as I have pushed myself out of my comfort zone, using new techniques and colours to meet the brief of Spring Reflections.

I'm looking forward to going to view the whole exhibition which will be open from February 23rd until April 19th 2024.
